Caregivers Ladder (C.L.) is a group of individuals that share one common bond and that is caring for an individual with a disability. By sharing our experiences and emotions we learn from one another and get an opportunity to feel a sense of community. The only requirement is that you have the desire to share your experiences and learn from each another. There are no membership dues or fees in Caregivers Ladder. The organization is self supporting through grants and donations. CL is not a part of any denomination, sect, political party, organization, or institution. The group does not engage in controversy, and/or endorse or oppose any causes. The purpose of our group is to share our experiences with each other and create a supporting community.”

Caregivers Ladder provides you an opportunity to learn that there are others out there in similar circumstances. We have one commonality and that is a child with a disability. It is not uncommon for caregivers to feel a sense of isolation when caring for another person. It is very important for caregivers to take care of themselves not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. We must share with one another what we are feeling to be able to process our emotions. Learning from other families that share similar experiences can also lead to very helpful and time saving information. We use the affirmations to keep our discussions on a specific path. There are rules that the meetings must follow.
